Sometimes we may request a couple of additional photos to help us diagnose the issue properly.

• A photo of a gutter edge, flat roof, or chimney area (if safely accessible)

This step helps us avoid assumptions and understand the issue clearly before moving forward.

Step 3️⃣ — Roof Analysis & Evidence Capture

We then carry out a structured roof inspection using a combination of:

• The photos you’ve provided
• Satellite imagery and property layout analysis
• Professional roofing knowledge and experience

Where appropriate, we may also carry out a drone inspection to capture high-resolution imagery of key roof areas, such as:

• Main roof slopes, ridges, hips and verges
• Valleys and gutter lines (where visible)
• Chimneys, flashings and roof junctions
• Flat roof edges, outlets and upstands
• Areas connected to the symptoms you’ve reported

The aim is to gather clear visual evidence safely and with minimal disruption.

If weather conditions are unsuitable for drone work (wind, rain or poor visibility), we simply reschedule for the next safe window.

Step 4️⃣ — Analysis + Report Build (24–48 Hours)

All collected imagery and information is carefully analysed before we build your Cloud Roof Survey Report.

Step 6️⃣ — Next Steps (Remote First, Physical Visit if Required)

In many cases, the digital assessment and imagery provide enough clarity to plan works confidently.

However, in some situations a physical inspection may still be recommended, for example:

• If the issue appears to be internal (felt, insulation or condensation)
• If roof angles limit visibility externally
• If the source of a leak cannot be confirmed remotely
• If structural concerns require closer inspection
• If precise measurements are needed before finalising a fixed quote

If a site visit is required, we’ll explain:

• Exactly what couldn’t be confirmed remotely
• Why a physical inspection is beneficial
• What additional information it will provide

If everything is clear remotely, we can move directly to scheduling any recommended works.
